Sara Lleverino

We’re all unique and that’s what makes us so interesting. Sometimes it can be infuriating when people don’t agree with things you’re so passionate about, but for the most part, I don’t think we would get much done in this world if we were all the same. So, to kick off this post, here are 10 things you might not know about me:

  1. I like the smell of tires and markers. Ok, I understand that there are probably a good number of us who have sniffed some markers or eaten glue, but I wonder how many others are out there that take a deep breath when walking in to a Les Schwab?
  2. My favorite movie is The Three Amigos. It’s a pretty old movie now, so I would bet a good number of you haven’t even heard of it. I know every single word.
  3. I think Pepsi tastes like dirt. I’m a Coca Cola girl through and through. I drink caffeine-free these days because the caffeine gives me a headache, though.
  4. I love to bake cakes, but don’t really care to eat them. Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate cake, but I can easily pass it up, too. Chocolate on the other hand…

  5. I’m not a fan of social media. I know, I know. I’m on it sooooo much. How can I hate it? I’m on it for the sake of this photography business and I do enjoy being connected to friends and family, but for the most part, I find it kind of depressing and draining.
  6. I’m a yellow. Have you ever taken the color code personality test? I did once at a work retreat. Turns out I’m 75% yellow. Yellow is mostly happy and carefree. Well, at least at that time I was. I would bet you I have more white and blue these days. Comment what you are.

  7. I teach UX design at Weber State University. In my not-so-long-ago past life, I worked as a web programmer and UX designer. It was because of that, I was offered an adjunct teaching position to teach UX design and I absolutely love it ♥. Go Wildcats! It’s my other love besides photography. I often grapple with feeling like I should just focus on one or the other, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to do it. I feel like I’m making a difference by showing women that they can be successful in a STEM field.

  8. I can make my fingers bend just at the tips. Yes, this is a completely useless talent, but it’s one I’ve developed over the years. I’m available for birthday parties and bat mitzvahs. I thought this was a pretty unique talent, but according to a buzzfeed poll, apparently 40% of the people that responded can also do this. I guess I’m unique just like everyone else. haha.
  9.  I can crochet. Not really well, mind you, but I’ve made a few beanies in my time. Here is one of my girls wearing beanies that I made them.

  10. I hate doing dishes. Now, I KNOW I’m not alone in this one. This is my most dreaded chore. My husband and I have come to an unspoken agreement that I cook the dinners and he cleans them up.
